MY LEAN GREEN DETOX

Ok, so we enjoyed the holidays a little too much and now it is time to clean up our systems! Holiday food can slow our bodies down and make us feel gross. Once a year, I like to do a raw food detox for 14 days to clean out my digestive system. Detoxes are great for cleaning out our system and healing our bodies. We need to have our bodies working efficiently so that we can burn some fat, build lean muscle, and feel great! Here is my own, personal raw food detox. You can do this for 3 days, 7 days, or 14 days. It is about 90% raw. (There are some cooked foods like beans.) The fresh, raw enzymes of the food will give you that energy (food for energy!) you need to kick-start your clean eating. If you are new to eating clean, I suggest 3 days. If you live a pretty clean life, you may want to step it up to the 7 or 14 days.

I like to take pictures and/or measurements of myself to see the difference. Then after my 14 day detox, I will take my pictures and/or measurements again to see the difference and resume my normal clean eating. Also—I want to stress—my exercise plan will be toned down due to the limited foods I will be consuming compared with my normal diet. I also want to point out that I will be doing hot yoga, more cardio based workouts, sitting in a sauna, massages, and detox wraps. This will help expel all the processed foods, any medications (aspirin, ibuprofen), and chemicals from supplements. No, I will not be taking a lot of supplements during these 14 days. The only ones will be my multivitamin, healthy oils, and raw vegan protein powder. Other than that, it will be all fresh foods. You want to cleanse your liver too. Giving your liver a break from breaking all the chemicals down, will help cleanse it. You will see that your body will function much more efficiently! Here is my detox: Upon rising: 2 cups of room temperature water with a squeeze of lemon. Meal 1: My Lean Green Juice: 1/2 cucumber, 2 stalks asparagus, 2 cups romaine lettuce, 1 leaf of Kale, 1 pear, 1 stalk celery, 1 inch of ginger root, and some parsley Meal 2: Fruit Smoothie: 1 cup coconut water, 1 cup frozen raspberries, 1 cup fresh mixed berries, 1 tablespoon coconut oil, 1 scoop Sunwarrior Raw Vegan Vanilla protein powder, and 1 tablespoon of Sunwarrior Ormus Green Meal 3: Large Salad: I eat a HUGE salad with ginger lime dressing. The salad is about 6 cups of green. You can put anything you want in it as far as fruit and veggies go. I put spring mix lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, sprouts, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, cilantro, black olives, and chick peas Meal 4: 2 cups fresh veggies with 1/4 cup of hummus OR 1/4 of an avocado (I like baby tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, bell peppers, broccoli, and cauliflower) Meal 5: My Lean Green Juice again or another large salad like the lunch salad Meal 6: Lean Green Juice again (on the side—I will drink 1 scoop Sunwarrior Raw Vegan Protein Powder with coconut water for added protein) I will drink Dandelion root tea and Cranberry root tea throughout the day to cleanse my liver and get off the water weight (inflammation), and filtered water or coconut water to hydrate and replenish electrolytes. If you do this detox, I would love to hear your feedback! Thanks and kick ass! Marzia Learn more about Marzia Prince
