Breakfast delight

There’s nothing quite as invigorating in the morning as fresh fruit for breakfast. Whole apples, bananas, or even fruit smoothies are great ways to start the day off right. Variety makes your breakfasts even better. Mix things up with an assortment of fruit recipes. That way you won’t get tired of eating the same food every day. Here’s a tasty recipe to get you started:

  • 1 Papaya cut into small chunks
  • 1 Pineapple cut into small chunks
  • 1/3 cup shredded Coconut unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup chopped Dates
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup (Grade B or C)

Put in a bowl, mix up, and serve.

Coco-Pine Spice

Who hasn’t had the lime and coconut song stuck in their head? There’s good reason. Coconut and lime go great together! Healthy good fats combine with vitamin C and powerful enzymes in this beverage to boost energy and immune function. Pepper, basil, and pineapple aid digestion, making this drink the perfect pair to any meal.

  • 1 fresh young coconut including meat
  • 1 small pineapple
  • 4 key limes (peeled)
  • 9 fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Step 1: Juice the pineapple and the limes.

Step 2: Place the rest of the ingredients in a Vitamix and blend for 20-30 seconds.

Step 3: Serve. I initially wondered how this could taste good, combining pepper, basil, and fruits, but it is full of wonderful flavor.

Infla-Eaze

Turmeric and ginger work well together. It helps that they are related and carry similar health benefits. They give a pungent tang to this citrusy drink along with the sweet peppery flavor of basil. Turmeric and ginger aid digestion, reduce inflammation, fight pain, and help the body fight diseases, including cancer.

  • 3-4 fresh oranges peeled
  • 1 large piece of fresh ginger
  • 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric

Step 1: Juice the oranges and ginger.

Step 2: Add all the ingredients into a blender. Blend for 20-30 seconds and serve.
